Rambo Movies in Order

[ad_1]

The Rambo movies may be continuing without the actor who launched them. Sylvester Stallone recently announced his retirement from the John Rambo character. However, there has been some discussion that following the success of 2008’s ‘Rambo’, that the studio may continue the Rambo movie franchise without him. With Stallone’s involvement with the series looking to be over, it is a good time to summarise his Rambo movies in order. Stallone has been involved in all four movies that have been made so far, First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo III, and Rambo.

First Blood (1982):

The first of the ‘Rambo’ movies, First Blood, was based on the novel of the same name by David Morrell. It is sometimes known as ‘Rambo: First Blood’. The film introduces the character John Rambo as played by Sylvester Stallone. It establishes Rambo as a Vietnam veteran who is trying to find his place in a society that doesn’t want him. He clashes with Sheriff Teasle, who sees him only as a drifter he doesn’t want in his town. He arrests Rambo, but post traumatic stress from his time as a prisoner of war causes Rambo to panic. He injures various deputies and escapes. A man hunt ensues, where Rambo is revealed to be a killing machine, and the local police and volunteer army are no match for him. Eventually Rambo’s mentor and former commander, Colonel Trautman shows up and convinces Rambo to surrender.

Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985):

John Rambo is in a prison labour camp for his crimes in First Blood. Colonel Trautman visits him and offers him the opportunity of a Presidential pardon in exchange for help documenting the existence of prisoners of war still in Vietnam. Instead of just photographing the prisoners, Rambo rescues one and the person in charge, Murdock, refuses to have him picked up in the helicopter and Rambo is captured. Rambo escapes, rescues all the prisoners and destroys all of Murdock’s equipment. Afterwards he refuses to go back to America and walks off into the distance. Officially George P. Cosmatos directed Rambo: First Blood Part II, but it was revealed afterwards that Stallone actually had most of the directorial control.

Rambo III (1988):

Now John Rambo lives in Thailand and is once again visited by Colonel Trautman. Trautman is planning a mission delivering weapons to Afghanistan fighters in their war against the Russians. Rambo refuses as he has had enough of war. However, later he finds out that Trautman has been captured and so he goes in and successfully rescues him.

Rambo (2008):

In Stallone’s last outing as John Rambo, the character is still in Thailand. Now he sells snakes to a village near the Burmese border. He eventually agrees to take them into Burma on his boat, event though he believes no good can come from them taking medical supplies into the war torn region. He has stopped believing things can change. As with Trautman in Rambo III, he once again finds out the missionaries have been captured and goes in and successfully rescues two of them with the help of some mercenaries. At the end of the movie he finally returns to America, to a ranch that looks to be owned by his father.

Which Notable Bald-Headed Women Were Really Bald?

[ad_1]

When a celebrity takes on an unconventional new hairstyle it always makes headlines, and nothing draws curiosity or comment more than a shaved head, especially when the head in question belongs to a woman.

But the words “shaved” and “bald” have a tendency to get tossed around far too often these days, for haircuts that bear little resemblance to bald, haircuts that would never be called shaved if they were on a man. If we want to be finicky, a shave demands a razor and baldness customarily means a smooth head. Is it because we are so hung up on the notion that women need long, luxurious tresses that anything substantially short of that is bald? Is it only creative exaggeration by the press? You make up your own mind.

To illustrate, here’s an assortment of famous women who allegedly went bald at some point in their careers. Let’s spot who was really shaved and who wasn’t?

Persis Khambatta (Star Trek: The Motion Picture) – Unmistakably shaved completely and utterly bald. I would go as far as to declare Persis the benchmark for celebrity female baldness. She had a smooth, bald, totally bare dome. They don’t come much smoother than model and former beauty queen was around 1978-79. Years after her death, it’s still the image most closely associated with her.

Britney Spears – She buzzed it to the skin, but Britney stopped short of shaving her noggin. Why, of all the dumb things Britney did around that time, is cutting her hair deemed the ultimate proof of insanity? It’s doubtlessly one of the most benign.

Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta) – A really nice combination. Somebody who already has a following of horny fanboys, and is typically considered hot, gets shorn for a part in a movie and rocks the stubbled look both on and off screen. There are definite parallels to Persis, and Portman might well have done for the female buzzcut what Persis did for bald women, but let’s be perfectly honest. Natalie Portman was not bald.

Amber Rose – The bleach-blonde hair does create an illusion of baldness to the casual observer, and she has buzzed it pretty close to the scalp at times, but she is not bald. As a model and celebrity girlfriend, she does seem to take some criticism for her extreme coiffure. I think she looks fantastic, albeit not the sort of girl I’d take home to meet Mom.

Cassie, Rihanna and the rest of the buzzed-side gals – The single clippered side is an interesting look, it attracts attention, but come on. That isn’t even remotely close to a bald head.

Sigourney Weaver (Alien 3) – Buzzed very close, but not smooth. I did admire her reaction to being asked to take her hair off for the movie. She wanted more money. Good for her. I can never make up my mind whether Sigourney looks good in a buzz or not, but then, I can never make up my mind whether I find Sigourney attractive or not. Her appeal seems to change from movie to movie, and I can never quite figure out why.

Maggie McOmie (THX 1138) – Maggie might be up for debate. She did get a proper shave before shooting began, but we mostly see her sporting varying amounts of peach fuzz on screen. I suppose she counts as shaved, because she did really did have her head shaved smooth.

Demi Moore (G.I. Jane) – This is another grey area. She wasn’t bald for the movie. She cut it with clippers on-screen, and spent the rest of the movie just a bit of stubble, making her technically not bald. However, after Demi finished shooting the movie, she then shaved her head smooth on her own time, and appeared in public with her shaved dome. Pretty cool.

Bai Ling (Anna and the King) – Shaved, for sure. Bai Ling is another one with some real guts, since her raven hair was past her butt when she shaved her head, and it was only for a little bit of actual on-screen baldness.

Joan Chen (You Seng: Temptation of a Monk) – Joan not only shaved her head, but we see a bit of lather-free straight razor shaving in this Asian flick. Chen’s character, a sort of bounty hunter, poses as an initiate in order to infiltrate a temple where a fugitive general is posing as a monk. Chen shaved her head for just a brief part of the movie. Again, a truly bald dome, and not a bad movie either.

Samantha Morton (Minority Report) – Although she was was described in the media at the time as bald or shaved, Samantha Morton was buzzed to stubble for the role of Agatha, one of three psychics enslaved by the police of the future to predict criminal acts before they occur. Definitely not bald.

Annie Burgstede (Smallville) – A bald pate does seem like a reasonable move for a character homicidally obsessed with Lex Luthor, but to actually do it, and do it for real, is more than I expected from Smallville. I have to salute any woman who would shave her head completely bald for the final act of an hour-long TV episode. That goes double in Burgstede’s case, when it’s a teen drama full of beautiful people, and she’s the bald nut sharing a scene with a perfectly-coiffed Erica Durance. Pretty brave.

Virginia Hey (Farscape) – In Mad Max 2, she was the hottie with the crossbow and the big, golden 80s hair. And in the 90s, she adopted a hairless pate to play an alien hottie (shades of Persis there) in the series Farscape. She was already in love with the role when the subject of shaving her head came up, and she was ready to do it. What is really impressive here is the commitment. It’s one thing to shave your head for a part in a movie or a single episode, but it’s quite another to do it for a series that might require you to stay bald for the better part of the next four or five years.

Linh Dan Pham and Simona Maicanescu (Dante 01) – Both women, and the the entire cast were shaved smooth on top for this French sci-fi film. Not exactly sure why this was, other than to give things a sterile, dystopian look, and it was reminiscent of both THX 1138 and Alien 3.

Delphine Chaneac (Splice) – With all the digital tricks the filmmakers used to make this charming French actress into a genetically modified human-animal chimera, you’d almost have expected them to fake the bald head too, but it’s the real deal. Chaneac apparently had no qualms about shaving her head, and enjoyed being bald. And in spite of the somewhat unnatural nature of her character, she manages to be very pretty, in a creepy sort of way.

Robin Tunney (Empire Records) – Not shaved, but a close on-screen buzz cut with clippers for the role of a troubled teenager. A memorable scene in an otherwise forgettable movie.

Judith Light (Wit) – Judith Light, from the 80s sitcom Who’s the Boss, had her head shaved bald for the role of Prof. Vivian Bearing in this drama, as many other actresses have done to star in many productions of the play over the years. A professional stage play is another potentially long-term commitment to staying bald, and this was a drastic change from the poofy blonde 80s hair we all remember.

Emma Thompson (Wit) – Thompson was shaved for the role of Bearing in the HBO TV movie of Wit.

Sofia Vassilieva (My Sister’s Keeper) – The teenage actress had her hair and eyebrows shaved off for the part of a cancer patient. Vassilieva said at the time that it was the least she could do for such a wonderful character, and it gave her a better idea of what her character was going through. Compare that to her costar, Cameron Diaz, who opted for a latex cap that gave her a bloated, saggy alien head. And yet Diaz, looking anything but realistic managed to capture headlines for her “bald” look. Go figure.

There are, of course many more women in show business who have shaved or buzzed their hair, either in public, on stage or screen, or in the media, but the ones listed here make the point well enough. If you know of others, make up your own mind if they really shaved.

Just remember, there is shaved and there is buzzed, but bald caps never count… ever.

Balboa Hot Tub – Should You Get One?

[ad_1]

The Balboa Water Group is widely known for its lines of equipment, accessories and control system for the leisure water industry. Such is the completeness of its line of products developed over 20 years of its existence that the company is considered as a one-stop-shop for anything and everything about spas, of which the Balboa hot tub is one of the most notable products.

All of the Balboa hot tubs feature the patented M7 temperature flow sensor technology, which no other company has yet to equal in quality. Basically, you should enjoy the following benefits of the M7 technology that most appeals to other consumers of the product:

  • Electronic non-pressure and dip switches that make for greater ease of operations and repair, when necessary. The Piezo switch technology also ensures that the spa does not have mobbing parts, no air gaps and no exposed electrical currents that can cause safety problems.
  • Smart sensors provide for accurate measurements of the flow and temperature of water in the spa while eliminating excessive cycling.
  • Built-in hardware ensures that the electrical noise present in other spas is eliminated during its use
  • Fewer holes necessary for the installation of a Balboa spa means that the connectors are more protected against corrosion, thus, extending the life of the equipment

Indeed, the outstanding Balboa M7 temperature control technology virtually eliminates all the possible types of failure associated with malfunctioning pressure switches. With easy installation instructions requiring significantly fewer holes than the competitors, the Balboa products deserve their reputation for high quality and lengthy durability coupled with reasonable prices.

You will discover that the customer reviews on these products are biased but in a good way in that your choice in a hot tub for the home will be made easier. After all, who wants to complicate lives when a hot tub is designed to simplify life and its enjoyment thereof? With a Balboa hot tub, life is simpler and happier – just the warm water and you communing to drive the stress away from your mind and eliminate the toxins from your body.

Your benefits do not stop there, fortunately. The Balboa Water Group also offers various parts for the maintenance, upgrading and repair of the hot tub, said parts of which will include hydromassage jets, LED lights for chromatherapy, blowers, heaters and pumps, to name just a few. Now, contrast such completeness with other manufacturers that offer incomplete parts and unsatisfactory services.

These products from Balboa also come in many types to suit just about every use for the household and commercial spas. You have the choices of single and dual speed pumps, cords and lights, as well as ozonators and the highly popular Balboa Control Systems.

Of course, a Balboa hot tub is only a hot tub in the sense that it cannot take care of itself – you have to take care of it, too. In this line, we recommend using foam covers and floating blankets to protect it from the elements as well as to conserve energy. As much as you want to enjoy the hot tub, it also pays to know that you are doing your part in conserving resources like energy and water but that’s another article there.

How to Conclude a Book Review

[ad_1]

Writing a book review is great especially if you learn something new out of it. But when it comes into concluding your book review, how will manage it?

In book reviews, the conclusion is designed to reflect the focus of the rest of the piece. The idea is to leave the reader with a clearly-articulated and thoroughly polished (with the help of a quality grammar software) final assessment that brings together all the ideas you’ve presented throughout the review.

What components should go into your book reviews’ conclusions?

  1. A restatement of the topic sentence. This helps refresh the main direction of your review for the reader and is a more preferable opening sentence for your conclusion, compared to the usual approach of giving space to less-important issues, such as book format and similar details.
  2. A summary of previously stated ideas. Put emphasis on the primary qualities and materials of the book being reviewed for your summary, rather than arbitrary details (regardless of how notable they might be). It helps sum up your discussion for the reader, setting a better context for your final statement.
  3. A memorable and thought-provoking closing sentence that imparts your final recommendation. Designed to cement your recommendation to the reader, it lets you leave a final thought that endorses your general opinion of the book. You can write this as a declarative sentence or in the form of a question, for effect. Pay some extra attention here: the more elegant and impactful it is, the more likely the reader will heed your advice.

How Does Online Gaming Work?

[ad_1]

Online gaming provides spirited or supportive games on computer with various users, through Internet or a local area network. Now, a question arises, why it is required to play against a computer once you have option to play with a human being? The answer for this question is that online gaming links you with various players of the globe and creates such an atmosphere for you where you can contend with each other and feel like a real situation.

Through online gaming, you can subjugate a rival of such a nature who doesn’t yet live in this world. The action between players is controlled through servers in net games while graphics and sound are handled with your computer. There are mass varieties of internet games to choose with. You can play complicated games promptly with the help of a rapid Internet connection.

Online gaming requires a network that includes solitary or more computers to work as servers. The computers of the players are termed as clients. Clients link to the server through the Internet or a local network. The server acts like an organization of the net gaming that keeps track with selected game of player, keeps records of player and also provides gossip between players.

At the time of playing game, the server facilitates the actions of every participant. As participants shift, play a card or blaze a weapon, the “state of the world” messages is sent to the server by their computers then after receiving the signals server transmits these signals to the other client computers immediately. Any movements that you make at the time of game emerge on other users’ computers. The client computer then transmits the sounds and graphics thus provides the visual effects for all players.

Internet games can be classified into two groups. One group that is accessible through centralized servers while other group that runs via distributed servers. Federal servers normally host the games that permit number of users to play simultaneously at the same time as is required in enormous players games like Ever Quest. The central server enclosed with a lot of information concerning the situation for these games. The world of game runs non-stop around the clock, hence the game continues either you play or not. Internet games by no means actually ends, you can continue play as per your desire. To start play user needs to open the client software that connects to the master server of the game.

While in a distributed system, server software stores numerous excited game servers on clients’ PCs. Instantaneous strategy is used in games such as Myth and 3D shooters like Quake III Arena etc. These games need very prompt updates known as “state of the world”. Distributed servers extend the pack of communication out; a solitary server hardly keeps up with numerous Quake players.

The game servers communicate signals to master server in every minute and the master server shows the addresses of every dynamic game servers. If you want to play then you need to get the list of active game servers available with the master server. Players can inquiry individual servers, from the information list, regarding the category of game exist on that server; the “ding time” and how many players are playing or duration requires for communicating of commands between the server and the player. Players generally select a server of the less ping time before they link straight to the game server.

Robbins Madanes Coaching Review: The Truth About Strategic Intervention

[ad_1]

Q: Is the Robbins Madanes Coaching program legit?

Can it really help folks become empowered – change their lives for the better AND learn to help other people by sharing their gifts with the world to boot?

And who is the ideal audience, client or customer for Robbins Madanes strategic coaching? Is it only for coaches and consultants and people who are working with others in the world, or can it help ordinary folks who want to accomplish extraordinary things?

In this short article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at this unique blend of cutting edge psychology, self improvement and personal development techniques, as well as some BIG picture “spiritual” stuff that I truly believe may be the secret key to living a life you love. (even if you don’t believe in much right now)

First – let’s take a quick look at the absolute basics about the program, and the personalities involved.

The truth is, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are certainly familiar with Anthony Robbins, widely looked at as the worlds premier “motivational speaker” and late night infomercial maven… but who for years has fashioned himself as a change agent, peak performance coach and strategic interventionist for the masses.

So what is the Robbins Madanes Strategic Intervention training program?

Very simple. It’s a year long program that promises to not only transform the lives of those participating in the learning process of BECOMING a life coach and strategic interventionist (or simply learning the skills to improve your existing business, relationships and conflicts) but it is also a hybrid program that includes many hours of film study and review, weekly phone calls with world renowned author and SI family therapist, Cloe Madanes and Mark Peysha, who runs the nuts and bolts of the program and coach support.

Big disclaimer here:

1 – While I know someone very well who is participating in the program right now and getting great value and life changing benefits, I’m NOT currently enrolled in the program.

2 – I HAVE however, bought and watched many of the DVD’s and films that come with this program (live interventions with Tony Robbins and narrated by Chloe Madanes that are transformative and transfixing to watch, EVEN if you bore quickly watching personal development style stuff) and have participated in much of the pre-enrollment tele-classes and calls, and I’m very impressed.

3- Having a long personal background in studying Zen and Big Mind Meditation, along with voice dialogue and indirect negotiation therapy ( a core piece of the magic behind many of Robbins incredible interventions) I can honestly say, this is some of the very best material for folks who want to radically improve their lives in record time… while having an avalanche of “A-HA” moments to boot.

If you are a coach, or consultant, and are intimately involved in the human change movement… and truly want to facilitate great breakthroughs in your clients, this is the sort of stuff that is SO far outside of the typical cookie cutter stuff that’s out there, that on this basis alone, it’s incredibly enlightening.

More importantly though, at least for me, this training inspires ALL of us that change is possible at any age, and that you don’t need to be stuck in any limiting pattern, or series of beliefs… for ONE moment longer than you want.

That in of itself is an amazing and enlightening idea, and watching these interventions live, with real people in a real world setting, inspires ALL of us to know that our best days MAY be ahead of us, regardless of how much pain we may feel, or how many problems we face today!

Beyond Vietnam – A Time to Break Silence – Analysis!

[ad_1]

Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence was delivered by Martin Luther King Jr., on April 4, 1967, at a meeting of concerned clergy and laity at Riverside Church in New York City, New York. The essence of the speech focused on the war in Vietnam. The belief of the clergy took the theme of silence is betrayal. The conclusion was reached that they must speak out against the war over the objection that peace and civil right do not mix. King viewed such comments as a tragic misunderstanding of the world. He emphasized that he was not at the meeting to speak to China, Russia, the National Liberation Front, and/or Hanoi. He was there to speak to his fellow Americans who have the responsibility of ending the conflict that has extracted a heavy price on Vietnam and America.

Regarding the importance of getting involved in the Vietnam War, King enumerated seven major reasons to bring the war to an end based on moral vision. He stated that Vietnam is connected to the struggle he and others have been fighting in America for the poor. However, the buildup of the war has broken the program by society going mad over the war. As a result, the war is as an enemy of the poor, which has taken away vital resources from programs for the poor. He has also considered the dilemma the sons of poor Americans who are fighting and dying in extraordinary high numbers in Southeast Asia are facing as tragic, especially when they were not even able to attend the same school in America, or live on the same block, which he referred to as manipulation of the poor.

He believed that change would come to America through nonviolent action. Therefore, he must raise his voice against the violence inflicted on the oppressed for the sake of America and cannot remain silent. He affirmed the motto of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference is “To save the soul of America,” which cannot be saved if it is destroying the souls of people across the world. Additionally, as a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, his belief is that this commission require him to work harder than ever for “the brotherhood of man,” thus, his calling extend beyond national allegiances.

He declared that he share with all men the calling to be a son of the living God; that God is concerned with the suffering of helpless and outcast children; that ministers are called to speak for the weak, the voiceless, victims of our nation, and its enemy; that Vietnam has been living under the madness of war for three continuous decades; and there will be no solution until we hear the broken voices of Americans and Vietnamese.

He mentioned that the Vietnamese must be looking at Americans as strange liberators while pondering America’s madness of the war. Since Vietnam had its independence in 1945 from the French and Japanese, America has supported the French in trying to take back its former colony by funding practically the entire cost of the war for the French. He proclaimed that America is a victim of Western arrogance for rejecting the revolutionary government seeking self-determination in Vietnam. As a result, our planes are dropping bombs on Vietnamese villages, women and children; poisoning their water; killing their crops; destroying their trees; leaving them homeless; begging for food; and selling their sisters and mothers to our soldiers. In this regard, we must speak for them because they are also our brothers in our struggle.

He specified that Hanoi has consider the presence of American troops in support of the Diem regime in Vietnam as a breach of the Geneva Convention, and that our president did not state there was an overture for peace made before by the parties. He notified the audience how Ho Chi Ming has watched the buildup of American forces as America spoke about peace; that Ming has been listening to the international rumors of a invasion of the north; and that Ming has watched the pre-invasion strategies of the most powerful nation on earth, which include dropping of bombs as an aggressor on the poor and the weak thousands of miles away from its own shores.

King made known that he is deeply concerned about the safety of our troops; that we are adding cynicism to the process of death; and that none of the things we are fighting for are really involved. He further added that our troops must know that our government sent them into Vietnam for the sophisticated and the wealthy, while we are creating hell for the poor; therefore, we must give a voice to the voiceless people of Vietnam. In this regard, he asserted that there will be no meaningful solution until we have heard their broken cries and have made some meaningful solution to hear their plea.

King communicated that the madness of war must cease. Additionally, in the name of God, we must stop the destruction of Vietnamese’ homes and their culture. He mentioned that he is speaking to the leaders of his country as an American and for the people of the world who are shocked by the path America has taken. He then quoted the words of a great Buddhist leader who stated:

Each day the war goes on the hatred increase in the hearts of the Vietnamese and in the hearts of those of humanitarian instinct… Americans are forcing their friends to become their enemies… America is incurring deep psychological and political defeat…America will never again be the image of revolution, freedom and democracy but the image of violence and militarism.

In this light, he indicated that continuing the war would show the world we have no honorable intentions in Vietnam, and our hope is to drag China into a war so we would be able to bomb its nuclear installations. He stated the world has demanded a greater sense of maturity from America

He enumerated the following actions for America’s atonement of sins: an end to all bombing in Vietnam; unilateral cease fire; prevention of battle grounds in Southeast Asia; recognition of the National Liberation Front; a set date from removal of all foreign forces from Vietnam in accordance with the 1954 Geneva Convention; granting of asylum to Vietnamese suffering persecution; and the payment of reparations for harm done.

With respect to continuing protest of the war, he requested the churches and synagogues to continue urging America to disengage from Vietnam and encouraged the ministers to seek conscious objector’s status. He brought up that America is on the wrong side of the world’s revolution, because we now consider property and material things more important than people; thus, we are approaching spiritual death.

On the issue of the importance of people, he revealed that all over the world men are revolting against the old system of exploitation and oppression, and new systems of justice and equality are being born. As a result, we should desire love to be the ultimate force and saving grace of life and not death and evil. Additionally, he reinforced that powers without compassion; might without morality; and strength without sight, will drag America down the corridor of shame; therefore, we must rededicate ourselves to a beautiful world, which is the calling of the sons of God.

He ended his message with an eloquent poem written by James Russell Lowell, addressing the issues of love not war; good not evil; light not darkness; and how God is keeping watch over His people.

STD Symptoms in Men

[ad_1]

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in men are just as common in men as are in women. The difference is that some of these STDs are not as easily detectable in men. They can be cured through medication or through simple surgery and recurrences of the disease are unlikely. Because it is difficult to detect certain STDs in men it is advised that he gets checked on a yearly basis to ensure that he is in good health and that there are no diseases hiding within his system. This way he can get tested for STDs and begin treatment immediately.

Chlamydia

Chlamydia is one of the more common STDs a man can experience. It develops through contracting microbes called Chlamydia trachomatis. As per the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Chlamydia is the most common STD in the United States. Between 2004 and 2008, the rate of Chlamydia reported increased to 45 percent due to the advancements in STD testing methods and over the counter testing methods such as home STD testing kits. Chlamydia can typically be detected within one to three weeks after symptoms are presented.

Men infected with the disease will experience discharge from the penis, painful urination, and a burning or tingling feeling around the opening of the penis which can also be felt in the testicles. If Chlamydia is found in the rectal area, men will experience symptoms such as rectal discharge or draining and severe pain both during bowel movements and random times throughout the day if not all day. Additionally, Chlamydia can be transmitted to the throat through oral sex.

Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is developed through contracting specific microorganisms called neisseria gonorrhoeae. Symptoms of gonorrhea include painful urination, white, yellow or green discharge from the penis, and swollen or enlarged testicles. Gonorrhea also affects the rectum and can be extremely painful. Symptoms a man could experience include rectal discharge, soreness, tingling sensations, rectal draining, and painful, hard, solid bowel movements. If gonorrhea has been contracted via oral sex, a man will experience a sore throat that will continue to get worse due to the many different types of bacteria already in the throat interacting with those microorganisms that cause gonorrhea. Gonorrhea can also cause epididymitis which is the curved portion at the back of the testicles where sperm matures; it is the swelling of the tube that connects the testicle to the vas deferens. Side effects can take anywhere from two to thirty days after contracting the disease. If left untreated, it can leave a man infertile and unable to have children.

Syphilis

Syphilis is one of those “silent but deadly” STDs. You could have syphilis for several weeks, months, and in rare occasions, years before experiencing side effects in any stage. The first phase of syphilis presents itself as sores around the genital area. This type of sore is called a chancre sore. It will appear as a hard, indented portion on your skin and typically disappears without treatment within three to six weeks. The second phase of syphilis rears in the form of a rash on the skin and mucous layers in the body. The rash could be extremely red and harsh or as tan spots that are most commonly found on the palms of the hands or the soles of the feet. Other symptoms you may experience include swollen lymph nodes, fever, sore throat, cerebral pain, random male pattern baldness, significant decrease in weight, and being unusually fatigued or exhausted. The rash is the biggest indicator of how severe the disease is; while it will go away on its own without treatment, once it goes away it serves as the primary indicator that the disease is now in the advanced stages. In the late stages of syphilis, a man will not show any visible side effects. However, while side effects may not be visible, the disease will essentially “eat away” and attack the major organs. In this stage, the disease begins to attack the brain, heart, liver, bones, and joints. A man can experience loss of motion, numbness, changes in vision to the point where he may eventually become blind, dementia, and the inevitable, death.

Herpes

Herpes is the most common form of STDs. It develops by contracting the herpes simplex infection 1 (Hsv-1) or herpes simplex infection 2 (Hsv-2). However, genital herpes is most commonly developed by contracting the Hsv-2 virus. The herpes virus first presents itself as one or more rankles in the genital or rectal areas of the body. These are open sores that turn into ulcers on the genitalia and rectum and can take a man five or more weeks to get rid of the virus. When the flare up is first noticed, it is the most painful, the most intense, and the most excruciating pain a man will experience. As time goes on, these episodes are less successive and less uncomfortable.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Human Immunodeficiency Virus, or HIV, attacks the immune system leaving a man extremely vulnerable to catching other severe illnesses. Most times when a man who has contracted the HIV virus, he may experience no symptoms of the disease. It isn’t until he becomes ill with another type of illness that HIV is detected. Flu-like symptoms such as a fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes can begin to rear two to six weeks after being infected with the HIV virus. Other very common symptoms of traditional illnesses that are often seen with HIV include diarrhea, unexplained weakness, mouth sores, and a rash. These symptoms may take 10 years or more to even appear if the typical flu-like symptoms don’t appear. Having additional STDs can increase your chances of contracting the HIV virus.

Testing for STDs

Getting STD testing is more accessible than it used to be. Now, you can walk into any pharmacy and buy an STD at home testing kit which will detect certain types of STDs but not all. Testing at home has become the more common method of testing to avoid the embarrassment factor of going to their doctor. If a man suspects he has contracted a more advanced STD than what a home testing kit can detect, it is imperative he be tested as soon as possible by his doctor so the disease can be treated promptly. With home STD testing kits, a man can obtain his test results online and can take those results with him to his doctor to begin a treatment regimen for the disease. If needed, additional testing will be done to pinpoint the exact STD he has contracted.

Top 5 Osho Books Review

[ad_1]

More than 600 books are attributed to the controversial spiritual leader Osho. This article reviews 5 of the most popular Osho books.

1. The Book of Secrets: 112 Meditations to Discover the Mystery Within

The Book of Secrets was published after his death in 1990 is a compendium of his lectures and follow-up question and answer periods. The reader will enjoy the casual and conversational style of the book and it makes for an easy read.

This is one of the longest Osho books with more than 1,100 pages. Osho gives us a comprehensive and practical guide to learning how to meditate. He believed that without meditation we can never discover the deep secrets of life but merely its surface.

The meditation techniques are based on ancient texts that have been translated to contemporary understanding. Each of the 112 meditations are described in detail and explained how best to put them to use in our everyday modern lives.

Whether you have a particular faith you follow or not you will derive great benefits through meditation. And you needn’t go to a temple to practice it-any quiet place will do. Your mind and body is temple enough along with the willingness and courage to experiment with something new.

2. Tantra: The Supreme Understanding

Of the more than 600 Osho books, Tantra is his all time best seller. For more than 1,000 years the writings of Tilopa, the 11th century Indian master of Tantra have lived on. Tilopa passed on his mystical insights to his student, Naropa, in the form of his Song of Mahamudra.

Osho, in his humorous, beautiful yet powerful way, teaches Tantra through Tilopa’s song piece by piece, showing how Tantric meditation techniques and mystical insights apply to our lives today.

3. EMOTIONS: Freedom from Anger, Jealousy & Fear

Life is nothing if not emotional, and not understanding our emotions and how to deal with them effectively lies at the core of many of our problems. And these problems not only affect our physical, mental and sexual health but also our energy levels, sleep pattern and relationships with our loved ones.

In Emotions, Osho gives us a guide that is both practical and comprehensive that helps to master our emotions by watching and learning from them when they arise. And once we learn this our emotions no longer have the power to provoke us.

4. Love, Freedom, Aloneness: The Koan of Relationships

If you are truly seeking something different from the same old worn out advice on relationships, then this is just the book for you. Love, Freedom and Aloneness was also published after his death from his teachings.

In it we find, that only by learning to live by ourselves and with ourselves first, can we cultivate real freedom in our lives; and this freedom allows us to find love and happiness with someone else. The book is a free flowing dialogue on how to balance lifestyle, love and meditation- not a 12 step formula.

5. Being in Love: How to Love with Awareness and Relate Without Fear

In this book Osho challenges us to question what we think we know about love and opens us up the idea that love, instead of consisting of jealousy and possessiveness, is natural and fulfilling.

He dares us to resist the patterns we’ve learned from culture and those around us that are unhealthy, and rediscover being love and loving without expectation. From an early time we’ve been so filled with rubbish about what love is that by the time we are ready to explore the world of love there is not much hope we can tell the difference between what is real and what is false.

Osho asks us to explore new ways to love that will forever change our relationships by answering the questions that so many lovers face including how to:

• Become a life partner with whom someone

• Be fully present in your relationships

• Love without clinging

• Free yourself from the fear of being alone

• Let go of expectations, rules, and demands

• Keep your love fresh and alive

• Surrender your ego so you can surrender to love

These 5 Osho books go far beyond the understanding of conventional psychology and bring unique insight to the workings of the mind, heart and essence of being.
