Disadvantages to Steel Male Chastity Belt Devices

[ad_1]

Male chastity is growing in popularity and many couples continue to search out advice on male steel chastity devices. They do so because they are serious about their marriages and want to make sure they keep the romance and intimacy in their relationship alive.

Male chastity couples know that men don’t really want or need sexual freedom. In fact, almost all men are much happier once they are kept under lock and key by their wives. They no longer waste time masturbating or looking at porn, they are more helpful around the house and they know that the sex is much better!

With that in mind, the most common question becomes – which type of male chastity belt device to choose. They come in two basic types, plastic and steel. There are advantages and disadvantages to both types of devices.

While in general I think steel devices are the best choice when it comes to long-term male chastity, one should be aware the disadvantages of steel male chastity belts as well.

• Steel belts can feel more emasculating to a man than plastic ones. That’s why I always suggest that people start out with plastic belts and build up to steel ones. The goal is to make him feel more manly, not less.
• Steel belts will set off alarms at airport security checkpoints. If your man travels a good deal, you should get him a plastic belt to use when he’s away.
• Some men experience more chafing with a steel device than with a plastic one. If your man is particularly sensitive, it might be good to get him a plastic one. An alternative is to line the inside of the device with moisturizer.
• The plastic devices come in a wide variety of colors and designs. Many women find these devices more visually attractive than the steel ones, which often look too masculine and shiny.
• If he is in a steel tube he won’t be able to wash his penis himself, which means you will be in charge of his intimate hygiene. Some women don’t have a problem with this, but others find the task somewhat distasteful.
• Steel is more bulky, which means that he’ll have to be somewhat careful with what he wears. While it will be invisible under his pants, it may be more obvious if he wears a Speedo style swimsuit.
• There is no possible way he can remove a steel male chastity device on his own. This means in the case of an emergency, he won’t be able to get out. For example, if you got into an accident and were stuck in the hospital, he’d have a problem. For this reason I suggest getting two sets of keys and leaving the spare set with a trusted friend or relative.

Those are the most common disadvantages to steel male chastity belt devices. Personally I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages; but every woman should be well informed when it comes to this crucial part of their married lives.

Is Clean & Pure Countertop Water Filter Really So Clean and Pure?

[ad_1]

If you purchase a Clean & Pure countertop water filter, you expect certain things. First, since it is advertised as a maintenance free countertop water filter, you expect that the system will consistently remove contaminants for a reasonable length of time. Many people who have purchased the units were disappointed.

A maintenance free countertop water filter is a great idea for people who are busy and have little time for a lot of extra things. At a cost of $35 it seems to be a great value. But of course everything that seems good usually has a downside.

According to consumer reviews, the clean & pure countertop water filter is prone to leakage. One customer said that the system didn’t purify anything because it leaked all the water out. Another said that he contacted the company to find out what contaminants were removed. The company was forthcoming enough, in that they stated that it was not actually a water purifier. It is only designed to remove chlorine and odor.

I worry about the customers that say the maintenance free countertop water filter was the best thing they have ever purchased. It is easy to believe that since the taste is better and the odor is removed, you are completely safe. But, there are many things that can come out of the tap that can neither be smelled nor tasted. And, many of them can be deadly.

The owner can choose to purchase a better-grade pore structure cartridge at a higher price, supposedly to remove more contaminants, but the model that is sold on the Home Shopping Network does not come with that option. The name makes you think that you are getting a great product for a great deal, but the facts are somewhat different.

The Clean & Pure countertop water filter is advertised as a maintenance free countertop water filter, but it will have to be changed when it is worn out. It is said to be good for 15,000 gallons, but some customer reviews indicate otherwise.

In order to get a truly clean & pure countertop water filter, three important things should be included. First, it should be able to carry-out mechanical filtration. This process absorbs contaminants, when water passes over and moistens the fibers.

Second, whether it is a maintenance free countertop water filter or not, it should be able to perform electro kinetic absorption. This means contaminated particles produce an electrical field that can be identified and removed by the system.

Third, anything that is truly a clean & pure countertop water filter should be able to function as the site of physical absorption. Meaning when the water passes over a solid absorbent and particles will stick to the surface of the absorbent.

Carbon blocks are used in the better systems to accomplish that task. The best choice may not be a maintenance free countertop water filter, but one in which the filtration cartridges need only be replaced every three months or so.

The really low price tag on the Clean & Pure countertop water filter should be an indication that some of the technology has not been included. Don’t be one of the many who are dissatisfied. Now that you know some of the most important features, find one that will truly meet your needs.

10 Reasons Why People Travel

[ad_1]

When people decide to leave the comforts of their home and venture to other locations there is usually a reason behind it. Whether the cause to travel was a last minute whimsy or had an actual purpose, it makes one think about all of the reasons why people travel. Reflect on the last time you left your location and ventured to another one. Did it have a purpose behind it? Let’s look and see if your motive to travel matched any of the one’s listed below. These are not listed in any particular order.

1. Romance- There are thousands of people who are involved in long distance relationships. At some point though, they need to see each other. For the sake of love, people will travel for hours to spend as much time as they can with the love of their life.

2. Relaxation- All work and no play is not a good thing. People need to get away from the stress of everyday life, and a nice sunny location with a beach might just be what the doctor ordered.

3. Family/ Friends -Many people have family/friends that are located in different parts of the world. They need to visit with them even if it’s for a short period of time.

4. Religion- There are places in the world that hold religious importance for many people. Religious travel is often related to a purpose such as seeing where the last pope was buried, or traveling to the town where Jesus was born.

5. Death- A relative, friend or acquaintance has passed away and travel is required to attend the funeral which is located out of town.

6. Honeymoon- You’re getting married and are going somewhere special to celebrate. This usually occurs right after the wedding, but there are many occasions where people celebrate a honeymoon years later.

7. Education-You’re getting your education somewhere other than where you live or you are going away on an educational school trip.

8. Celebration- Wedding, Anniversary, Birthday, Birth- There’s always something to celebrate and it doesn’t always happen where you live.

9. Medical/Health- Sometimes the treatment you need isn’t available in the city/town where you live. Often the best medical care is costly and requires travel to receive it.

10. Work- Job requirements might mean a fair bit of travel is involved. Even if the travel is within your own country it still has a purpose attached to it.

Overall, traveling can be a wonderful experience or it can be draining, expensive and just plain torture. Nonetheless if you need to go then embrace it for what it is, and try to make the best of it even if it wasn’t planned.

Where Can I Find Honest Reviews and Discussions About Flexsteel Furniture?

[ad_1]

If you are considering buying Flexsteel furniture, you may have tried to research what other consumers think about the products.

After all, who better to trust than the real people who have paid their own money for Flexsteel furniture? Who better to listen to than the consumers who use Flexsteel sofas and recliners every day? Who has more valuable firsthand experience of what the furniture looks and feels like years after it leaves the store? These people don’t have any interest in sugar coating their opinions, so they can be a great resource to help you make your buying decisions.

Where Are The Reviews Hiding?

But, if you have been searching for reviews and discussion of Flexsteel furniture you may have quickly become frustrated. It turns out that there just aren’t that many great places to find reviews for Flexsteel – or for any furniture companies for that matter. Unlike electronics, cars, and hotels, there just are that many great places to discuss and review furniture. Too bad.

Can’t Say Something Nice?

A few words about the negative reviews. No product only gets glowing, five star reviews. Accurate negative reviews will alert you to the shortfalls of any product. All products have some negative features and it’s fair and reasonable to discuss these. The bottom line is this: does the product I’m looking at have more bad reviews than its competitors? And are there trends in these bad reviews that are deal killers for me?

The Hunt For Good Information

However, I have found a few websites where you can find at least some honest reviews and discussions about Flexsteel.

They are:

www.buzillions.com

www.viewponts.com

ths.gardenweb.com/forums/furniture/ (currently the best place to look)

Go to these sites and search for “Flexsteel”, “Flexsteel Dylan”, “Flexsteel Recliners” and so on, depending on what you are looking for. You’ll find quite a few reviews and discussion threads about Flexsteel.

To find more review sites like these Google “Flexsteel Reviews,” “Flexsteel Discussions,” or “Flexsteel Details”.

My Conclusion?

After looking at a many of the reviews on Flexsteel, as well as competing brands in the same price range like Ashley, Broyhill, Magnussen, Aspehome and so on, it seems that Flexsteel reviews are as good or better than their competitors. Most of these major brands have good quality and great warranties because the furniture business is so large and competitive.

So, the choice of what to buy will probably come down to your style, budget and who you choose to buy from.

In fact, who you choose to buy from might be the most important choice of all. Many of the negative reviews you read about Flexsteel, and other brands, are actually about customer service at particular stores, not the brand itself. Flexsteel has been business since 1893, so they must know something about making products that keep them in business.

Finding Flexsteel Online

If you are looking to buy Flexsteel furniture online, do a Google search for “buy flexsteel online”. You’ll see both paid ads and organic search results for companies that Google has ranked worthy of being on page one. It’s a good sign if Google puts a company on page one of their search results.

A Summary of the Novel "The Green Mile"

[ad_1]

Any summary of the novel “The Green Mile” by Stephen King has to include a bit about the famous horror novelist, himself. He published this novel in 1996 as a serial novel, and the first edition actually came out in six small, paperbacks, which were later made into one novel. King is most well known for his horror novels, so as this summary of the novel “The Green Mile” shows, this book, set in the 1930s, is a departure from some of his other works.

Plot

The summary of the novel “The Green Mile” includes the plot and setting. The story takes place in 1932 on the E Block (Death Row) in Cold Mountain Penitentiary in Georgia. It is narrated by the main character, Paul, who is the captain of the prison guards who preside over E Block. “The Green Mile” of the title is the corridor between the cells of the cell block that leads to the execution room. The corridor is covered in green linoleum, hence, the “last” or green mile the inmates take to their death.

The story follows John Coffey, a large, black inmate convicted of raping and murdering two young white girls, and the other two inmates on death row, along with the guards who watch over them. Coffey is special, as Paul discovers, and he has magical healing abilities that become apparent. He befriends a small white mouse, who he names Mr. Jingles, and heals the mouse when the brutal guard Percy Wetmore tried to kill it. He also heals Paul’s kidney infection, and later, Paul spirits him out of the prison to heal the warden’s wife’s brain tumor. Coffey “transfers” this brain disease to Wetmore, the sadistic guard who the inmates and staff dislike. Wetmore never recovers and spends the rest of his life in a mental institution.

Eventually, Paul discovers that Coffey is exceptional in many areas. It turns out he did not murder the two girls, another inmate (William Wharton) did. Coffey does not want to be pardoned, and dies in the electric chair because he cannot bear the cruelties of real life. After his death, Paul discovers that each of the people Coffey has healed live extraordinarily long lives. Paul is 108 at the end of the book, and Mr. Jingles is 64. They have no idea how long they will live, and the novel ends.

Characters

A summary of the novel “The Green Mile” includes the characters in the novel.

Paul Edgecombe – Paul is the main character of the novel. A prison guard, by the end of the story he is an old man narrating this part of his life to a friend who is writing his memoir.

John Coffey – A nearly 7-foot-tall black man, a convicted murderer awaiting his death sentence on death row in the prison. He befriends a white mouse and heals people of their diseases.

Percy Wetmore – A sadistic prison guard who everyone dislikes. He torments the prisoners, tries to kill Mr. Jingles, the mouse, and deliberately botches an execution where the inmate suffers terribly. He keeps his job because he is related to the governor.

Eduard Delacroix – A Cajun man convicted of arson, he is essentially a coward. He is the man who dies a horrible death at the hands of Wetmore.

William Wharton – Another convict, it turns out he is the one who actually committed the murder attributed to John Coffey. He is wild and frightening, and attempts to disrupt the prison as much as he can before he dies.

Mr. Jingles – The white mouse that lives to be 64 and is befriended by John Coffey.

Niccolo Machiavelli, "The Morals of the Prince"

[ad_1]

In “The Morals of the Prince,” Niccolo Machiavelli argues the various methods of being a successful prince. He states that a prince cannot always be good, and if he wants to keep his post he must learn not to be good. Basically, Machiavelli states that if you are too generous, the non-generous people will take advantage of you and will take away your power.

If a prince doesn’t want to rob his people and avoid poverty, he must be a miser, or greedy. This is what keeps a prince in power. Machiavelli always states that it is better for a ruler to be merciful than to be cruel. A ruler must be somewhat cruel in order to keep his subjects united and loyal, yet he must be merciful as to not drive always his subjects. Also, Machiavelli believes that it was better to be feared than loved. He believes it is simply safer and that the nature of man makes it harder to overthrow a feared leader than a loved one.

I agree with most of the points Machiavelli makes. I do believe that you cannot be too generous to your subjects or well they will take advantage of you. Many of the great rulers who were too generous to the people ended up in bloodshed because of small things that the ruler overlooked. You must keep guard and not be taken advantage of if you try to be generous.

I also believe it is smarter to be merciful than cruel. A cruel leader will drive his subjects away and eventually lead to a revolution. A merciful leader will earn the respect of his subjects and thus continue to peacefully rule. Lastly, it is better to be feared than loved. This makes sense because if you’re loved, certain people have control of you because you most likely love them back. However, if you’re feared, you’re on top of everybody and nobody can force you to do anything against your will, yet you can still keep your subjects loyal.

5 Characteristics of a Winning Trial Notebook

[ad_1]

A court date has been set, the coffee pot is full, adrenaline is kicking in, and you’re about to put together a solid case to wow the client. How confident are you that your presentation is going to wow judge and jury as well?

Presenting your case in court is the culmination of all the hard work put forth in its preparation. You’ve worked hard for your client, investigating the case, performing legal research, creating piles of briefs and memoranda, lining up expert witnesses, scheduling and calendaring, accounting for all billable hours, securing your evidence, creating exhibits, pouring over discovery, and making sure every I was dotted, every T was crossed. In all, you want your case presentation to be a work of art, and that’s why we’re here. We want to give you the framework to help you shine once you get to court.

We’ll tell you about our free Trial Notebook eBook in just a bit, but for this short intro, we’ll discuss the qualities your notebook should have that will help set you up for success when your case goes to T.R.I.A.L.:

ThoroughnessHave you included everything you’ll need and then checked it all again?

ReliabilityAccuracy aside, does your notebook format work? Is it softcopy or hardcopy?

InquisitivenessDo your sections and forms prompt you to provide the right info?

AppearanceDoes your Trial Notebook package command respect or is it a mess?

LogicIs there a good intuitive flow to the layout of your material?

Thoroughness

There is nothing so fatal to a court case as a missed detail. While you don’t want to be repetitive, the more important an event is the more a little redundancy is your friend. You want to include everything you need and have some good cross-reference. Some thoughts to keep in mind:

  • Work from forms, templates, and checklists. Don’t leave Trial Notebook assembly to chance or memory.
  • Review everything with your client and your presenting attorney(s) as you go along. Waiting until the last minute does nothing but ensure missed detail and a nervous client.
  • Create an “Index and Reference” section like you would find in a text book. For example, have one list showing your Document Control numbers in order along with the items they represent, list your witnesses in alphabetical order, your e-discovery files by name, and list all other electronic file names in order with a description of their contents.

Reliability

Just how can a notebook be “reliable?” Simple. It’s usable and does everything you would expect. In this case, the goals are to both house and safeguard all of your pertinent organizational data and intel, and to be ready to provide that information to you exactly when you need it.

  • The heart of your system should be a hardcopy three-ring binder. Though most offices are trying to “go green” and conserve paper, there is a time and a place for a paper-based organizer. Trial is that time and place. Binders don’t crash like computers can.
  • Most of us were raised on paper-based books and handwritten notes, and we’re still faster at navigating a tabbed notebook than a computer file.
  • Any computer you bring in to court should use a reliable operating system and you should have a power cable, a charged battery, and all pertinent accessories.
  • Your soft-copy media should come in a couple of formats just to make sure you can reliably access each. Have one copy of the file loaded on your computer and have a CD or DVD copy in addition to the files on a thumb drive.

Inquisitiveness

A trial would be useless if you didn’t question anyone or anything. Why? So you don’t miss a single detail. Your Trial Notebook should do the same for you… provided you set it up right.

  • As the saying goes “The dullest pencil has a better memory than the sharpest mind.” – (Author Unknown). Your forms and checklists will help you remember what to do with final notebook content review, on the day of court, and for making sure you have all the main items and support items you’ll need to ensure your presentation in court is complete, thorough, organized, and successful. “When in doubt, write it out!” Don’t leave important things to memory. Set your Trial Notebook up so that it asks you the right questions before you ask questions in court.

Appearance

People shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but they do. It’s just a fact of life. For example, your personal appearance should be as professional as possible, especially when you’re in front of the client, court, or opposition. Your Trial Notebook should maintain a professional appearance as well in order to command respect from the jury, confidence from your client, and to intimidate the opposition.

  • You don’t want to spend too much money on notebooks, but make sure the ones you get look good and match the folios and binders you bring with you to trial.
  • All paperwork should be in some sort of binder, folio, or labeled box, and again, they should look like they all came as a set. Don’t take anything loose or unbound into court.
  • Neatness counts, even when it’s only your people seeing the contents. Make sure all spelling is correct, typestyle is uniform, grammar is good, the layout follows office protocol, and all copy is legible.

Logic

The most thorough and detailed Trial Notebook in the world is going to be useless unless the presenting attorney can understand the layout and logic of how everything in the notebook is organized.

  • The first consideration is, “Who is the lead or presenting attorney for the trial?” Though your firm’s notebooks should be standardized you still should consider the type of case being tried as well as the idiosyncrasies of your presenting attorney. Do they prefer hardcopy or computer? Do they like large print or small? Do they respond well to color-coded / highlighted text or bullet points?
  • Though one attorney might prefer one certain format over another, keep two things in mind. One, there should be some uniformity, and two; your redundant backups should mirror each other as much as possible. For example, if the attorney prefers working from an electronic copy of the Trial Notebook and the laptop crashes, the hardcopy binder should be laid out in the same fashion as the softcopy version.
  • We can’t stress this enough: work from forms, checklists, and templates.
  • Though you gathered a lot of data for your case, keep in mind that the Trial Notebook is not meant to house everything, but rather, it is to be the main organizer or index of your materials and an outline of your case. Use other folios, folders, binders, and boxes for the peripheral documents. Keeping the Trial Notebook’s contents concise and to the point makes for easier navigation which is much more logical.

Sadly, in such a short article we can only speak in generalities with your Trial Notebook. There are so many types of cases. You might be working either side of civil or criminal, tax or tort, paternity or product liability, contract or malpractice, family or corporate. However, trials do have some foundational elements to them, so we’ll give you the framework you’ll need that will help you prepare the best Trial Notebook you possibly can.

Before Having Surgery Create a Living Will

[ad_1]

If you are over the age of 18 you should have a living will. A living will directive or health care proxy should also be one of the first “to-do” items on your “to-do” list before having surgery.

What is a living will?

A living will is a legal document that specifies what treatments, particularly life-prolonging treatments, you wish to receive or not receive should you become incapacitated and unable to relay your wishes yourself. It is especially important to create a living will prior to having surgery so put it on your to-do list when preparing for surgery.

What exactly does a living will specify?

A living will specifies what life-prolonging treatments, such as whether or not to place you on life support and for how long and whether or not to resuscitate you.

In what instances would I need a living will?

It is always good to have a current, updated living will, particularly when you are preparing for surgery. A living will eases the stress and contemplation your family would endure when faced with making decisions regarding your treatment. Furthermore, it ensures that your treatments are indeed carried out according to your wishes.

How and when are the specifications in a living will executed?

The specifications in your living will would go into effect when your primary physician, and in some states a second physician, deemed you incapable of making decisions for yourself. Your physician would have to declare you permanently unconscious. For example, if you suffer a heart attack or stroke and are resuscitated and expected to recover, your living will would not take effect. It would only take effect if your recovery were considered impossible.

How and where can I get a living will?

Different states have different laws regarding the preparation and execution of living wills, so you should consult with a lawyer in your state when preparing your living will to ensure the legality of it. It is a good idea to consult the same lawyer that you use for your estate planning for the preparation of your living will. You will want to make sure that you keep your living will updated.

You can also find quality legal resources on the Internet today about creating living wills. Advantages and tips on using an online legal service are:

* It is cheaper than hiring a traditional attorney. You will pay anywhere from $39.00 to $79.00 on average to create a living will saving you hundreds of dollars or more over traditional attorney fees.

* Most have easy questionnaire style forms.

* Depending on the legal online service you choose, a document assistant reviews your information making sure you avoid some of the most common errors when creating a living will.

* The living wills are valid in every state (make sure this is the case for the service you choose).

* Depending on the type of account you sign up for, you can update your living will easily and at any time.

* Choose a service where your information remains confidential and secure.

* You will want an official copy mailed to you for your records.

The important thing here is all of us should have a living will and if you create one online – it is quick, it is easy, and it is done!

Where should I keep my living will?

Keep your living will in a safe place, such as an in-home safe or safety deposit box. Disclose to your family and doctor that you have a living will and make sure that someone trustworthy knows where your living will is stored and can access it if necessary.

A living will is never going to be your first choice for conversation but it should always be one of your first considerations before having surgery. Include this simple yet often overlooked step when you prepare for surgery.

How to Get Rid of Collembola (Also Known As Snow Fleas, Springtails and Ectoparasites)

[ad_1]

If you’ve never heard of Collembola, you’re not alone. Until recent years, it was thought that these soil borne creatures were essentially harmless. Even doctors vehemently denied that springtails were likely to infest human hair and skin. Folks who suffered from chronic itching, biting and crawling sensations were often considered delusional, but that mindset is slowly changing. Mounting evidence suggests that these micro-tiny pests can be surprisingly invasive.

Thanks to the tenacity of folks like Dr. Frans Janssens and his colleague, Dr. Kenneth A. Christiansen, the scientific community is beginning to recognize that springtails can pose a very real threat to human comfort when present in large numbers. The two researchers collected scores of reports from homeowners, doctors, and pest control operators in several countries, including many regions of The United States. Within the gray areas between casual testimony, scientific observation and concrete medical documentation, a startling picture emerged. Collembola are everywhere, and it’s not impossible for them to latch onto humans and animals.

As inhabitants of fertile soil, springtails are likely to be found just about anywhere. The more you water the lawn and apply fertilizer, the happier they’ll be. They are considered the most abundant arthropods on earth. Since prehistoric times, they have survived frigid winters and very hot summers, but their numbers decrease exponentially under dry conditions.

Pet owners are particularly vulnerable to collembola infestation. Dogs and cats who trample through moist soil or wet grass can pick up springtails and transport them into the home; however, it’s not likely that springtails will stay attached to pets like fleas unless an animal’s immune system is compromised (for example, if there’s a fungal infection of the skin.) Springtails are easily transferred between humans and animals. Close contact isn’t necessary. These acrobatic creatures can jump three to four feet. You may not always notice them catapulting through the air. They can be smaller than the head of a pin.

If the thought of a few springtails in the house makes you paranoid, relax. Their ability to divide and conquer will largely depend upon environmental factors. Do you enjoy growing potted plants indoors? Does your basement tend to flood after a good rain? Can you smell mold behind the bathroom wall? Are you still waiting on a plumber to fix that leaky pipe under the kitchen sink? Who was president the last time you cleaned your air ducts? A moist, moldy environment is like Disneyland to a springtail.

Getting rid of an advanced collembola infestation can be difficult because springtails aren’t classified as insects. They are defined as hexapods, primitive ancestors to modern day bugs. According to organic scientist David Glassel, chemical pesticides have no effect on the hexapod. Only natural insecticides will do the trick, and the best remedy is cedar oil.

Step By Step Guide to Eliminate Collembola Infestation:

1.) Treat yourself and your pets with a topical cedar oil insecticide approved for use with humans and animals. Avoid cosmetic or aroma therapy grade cedar oil. It’s not purified, and it usually comes from certain forms of cypress trees. Cedar oil that is formulated for home protection will kill ALL TYPES of parasites on contact, including springtails, lice and all forms of mites. If you’re tempted to use an over the counter kit designed for lice control, don’t bother. It won’t work, it’s not enough to cover large areas, and it’s just plain not good for you. Such products contain Lindane, a chemical banned for use with animals by the Environmental Protection Agency.

2.) Spray couches, beds and carpets with a fine cedar oil mist. A proper household formula will be very light and pure. In other words, it won’t stain fabric.

3.) Use a cedar oil fog machine to penetrate unseen cracks and crevices in the home. Normally, fog machines are considered optional, but advanced springtail infestations require aggressive measures. If you believe your infestation is severe, or if you’ve actually SEEN large groups of springtails moving over floors and walls, don’t mess around.

4.) Use the fog machine to treat air ducts or hire a professional air duct cleaning company. Many people are shocked to discover they have mold in their air ducts. It is not uncommon for mold to develop in your heating and cooling system from the condensation of your air conditioner. Springtails feed upon mold and thrive in moist conditions. Mold can also aggravate asthma and allergies. Air duct treatment addresses all of these difficulties.

5.) Purchase the highest quality furnace filters available at your local store. Filters designed for allergen and dust mite removal are best. Change filters frequently.

6.) Hunt for places where moisture accumulates. Patch leaky roofs and pipes. Seal cracks around basement windows. Pay special attention to bathroom walls and cabinets under sinks.

7.) Remove household plants, especially decorative trees sitting in large potted containers filled with soil. Remember that springtails can be transported directly into your home via bags of potted soil.

8.) Take aggressive measures to control animal populations on your property. Double bag garbage, and don’t leave open trash barrels sitting around. Animal foods that are stored outdoors should be kept in airtight containers. Use traps or repellents to control rodents, raccoons and squirrel populations. Resist the urge to pet stray dogs and cats. Report any sightings of feral cats to your local animal control center.

9.) Beware of ultra rich potting soil and wooden landscaping materials. Based on calls placed to our pest control operation from all over the country, springtail populations are often introduced to the home when truckloads of new mulch or soil have been dumped on properties that previously had minimal landscaping. (Mulch traps moisture and promotes the growth of mold.) Seal any cracks around basement windows before distributing natural landscaping materials around the perimeter of the home. If you’re worried about collembolla populations outdoors, there are super strength cedar oil concentrates designed to repel mosquitoes and kill insect populations in the grass and soil. Pet breeders, horse keepers, and livestock farmers use cedar oil concentrates to control all types of parasites in barns, pens and pastures. A generous treatment early in the spring or summer will do a lot to destroy eggs and control multiple insect populations before they explode. Veterinarian bills are EXPENSIVE. Destroy parasites before they destroy you!

10.) Last but not least, avoid chemical pesticides. In February of 2011, USA Today ran an article titled “Exposure to Pesticides in Womb Linked to Learning Disabilities.” The study focused on peremethrin, a chemical commonly used to battle household pests. As disturbing as this sounds, the topic is nothing new. Scores of scientific studies have linked chemical pesticides to neurological disorders, breast cancer and birth defects in children living near farms where chemicals are sprayed. In a nationally televised ABC World News investigation, spot drop flea and tick medicines were found to cause 44,000 severe reactions in a single year, including multiple deaths.

Differences Between Traditional Family And Modern Family

[ad_1]

Women need to wake early to prepare breakfast for everyone in their families. On the other hand, we don’t see this event a lot in modern families. Women can wake up at the same time with their husbands and don’t prepare anything.

This is one example that shows the difference between traditional families and modern families in my country. I think there are a lot of differences, but I’m going to contrast only three big differences, which are size, head of family and discipline.

One important difference is size of family. Size of traditional families are larger than modern families. Normally they have more than ten people in their families, whereas modern families have only three to four people. Traditional families always live with their relatives and have a lot of children, which is the reason why they are big families. Another reason is their work. Traditional families are farmers. Members of families can work at their farms, therefore, they don’t hire workers. They can save a lot of money.

In contrast, modern families don’t need anyone to help their work because they work in the office. They only have one or two children and don’t live with their relatives. I think this difference effects modern families because they will not know their relatives, as traditional families do. They only meet them on special occasions, such as birthdays and New Year.

For example, children aren’t get used to their grandparents because they only meet them a few times per year. They will not respect them as much as they should have. I think it will become an aggressive problem in our societies because they don’t know how to esteem or sympathise older people. Children won’t obey or help them when they grow up. For instance, teenager don’t obey their teachers, as they were little children or they won’t give seats to old people when they see them in subway.

Another difference between traditional families and modern families is head of family. Men are always head of traditional families. Women usually take care of children at home, whereas men work outside. Women and children must listen and follow whenever men tell them. Men have the power to order members of their families to do everything, even if they don’t like to do. For example, fathers can choose husbands for their daughters. It is not a good idea for women and children always need to believe their command, so now they’re changed to modern families.

Modern families don’t have the head of family because women and men are equal. Both women and men work outside. They share ideas with each other. Women and children don’t obey the men’s orders if they think their orders aren’t correct. Women and children can decide by themselves. For example, women work outside, as men do. When women come home, they don’t do house works alone because men need to help together. I think it is the positive change in our societies.

The last difference is discipline. Traditional families have many rules that directly impact their children. I think parents of traditional families are always strict because they have a lot of children to look after. It is only women who take care of children at home, so they need to have a lot of rules to control them. On the other hand, modern families have few rules to control their children. Parents of modern families work outside. They don’t have enough time to take care of their children, so they don’t have time to make rules also. They always spoil them. They hire someone to take care of their children while they’re working outside.

This difference actually affects modern families because their children will always make problems to gain attention from their parents. For example, children don’t go to school because they want their parents ask them why they do this. They want their parents talk to them. This article has presented three differences between traditional families and modern families in my country.

I think these differences can tell some development of family system from the past until now, such as taking care of children and their lives. When societies change, families also change. Both good and bad things change. People should choose only the good things to change in their families because families are important.
